Cascade swimmer wins gold at international meet!

Cascade swimmer Karl Wolk nabs gold in Edmonton!

After a best time in the preliminaries Cascade Karl Wolk took almost another two seconds off of his best time to go 1:55.96 and win the gold in the boys 15-16 age category at the North American Challenge Cup.

The NACC  is an international quad-meet with teams from Canada, Mexico and California competing over four days of competition. Karl was also a team member at last year's meet in California.

In the 100m butterfly Karl also picked up a silver medal with a 57.79 performance.

In the boys 13-14 year-old 100m backstroke category Adam Maybury was 5th in 1:05.31.

In the session's final races, the 4x200 F.R. events, Adam's 13-14 year old "B" team finished 4th overall; Karl's 15-16 year old team helped bring Karl his third medal of the night and another gold!

Overall Team Canada is winning the meet by more than 300 points over the top team from California.
