By confirming your attendance you are also agreeing to a possible 20% cost overrun to cover unforeseen expenses. 

 

·      Please check into your flight online 24 hours in advance using code on Flight Grid

·      Please have your swimmer at the airport at 5:45 AM and check in with chaperones at WestJet International

·      Please ensure your swimmer has their passport and their own copy of the travel consent form (if under 18 years old -one copy provided to the chaperones)

·      The coaches attending this meet are Dave Johnson and Andrew Miller

·      The chaperones for this meet are Steve McLaughlin (403) 542-1448 and Jen McLaughlin (403) 479-1579 (chaperones are to be contacted for emergencies only)

·      Swimmers should wear team gear on all flights

·      Pack all swim gear, racing gear and medications in carry-on luggage (each ticket includes one checked in bag with carry on)

·      Swimmers are reminded to bring an empty water bottle (or two) in their carry on, and fill these once through security

·      For departure day, after arrival, swimmers will be brought to the pool for practice. Please make sure your swimmer has a good breakfast, packs snacks for the flight or purchases extra food at the airport if needed.

·      All meals and snacks are provided by our chaperones except on occasion (OYO) where the chaperones will take the swimmers to an area with various food options where they can purchase food of their choice.

·      Swimmers will need spending money to purchase food/snacks on travel days and excursions, souvenirs etc.

·      If your swimmer has any preferred snacks, please encourage them to pack these along for the trip.

·      Please make sure your swimmer has packed sunscreen, hats, dryland clothing and runners.

·      All training schedules are currently scheduled for two hours. On the days where swimmers only have one training session, activities have been planned by the coaches. Please make sure appropriate clothing is packed for a team hike.
